Crowns: White and Stainless Steel

Some cavities are too big to be fixed with a traditional filling and require full coverage to protect the tooth from further breakdown. Stainless steel crowns are often the gold standard in pediatric dentistry, but we also offer white, aesthetic crowns for front and back teeth in select cases.

Pediatric crowns are different from adult crowns. They take a lot less time and are placed on the same day.

SMART (Silver Modified Atraumatic Restorative Technique)

This is a minimally invasive treatment option for pre-cooperative or special needs children. This in-office technique halts the progression of the cavity without the use of local anesthetic. Silver Diamine Fluoride is used to remineralize the lesion which is then covered with a tooth-colored filling or full-coverage crown.
